About Me

In the past several years, Cari has orchestrated the Thane of Cawdor's demise, hunted Jack the Ripper, butled in a Play that went Wrong, and pirated on the waters off the coast of Boston, among other theatrical adventures. Cari's 14 years of classical dance training often comes in handy onstage, as does her recent SAFD certification in stage combat.

By night an avid thespian, by day Cari is an English professor. She particularly enjoys teaching and studying fairy tales, adaptations across American media, and how stage combat contributes to narratives.

The Minutes, Sept 2026

The Minutes is a sharp, fast-paced comedy by Tracy Letts that turns a routine small-town city council meeting into a hilarious display of political absurdity, as hidden agendas clash and alliances twist unexpectedly. Beneath the charming facade of the quaint town of Big Cherry USA lie dark secrets. Blending sharp satire and gripping psychological mystery, the play reveals deeper questions about how communities tell their own stories and how far a community will go to defend its version of reality.

Please be advised that this production features blood effects, strong language, and provocative content, including the use of a racial slur, reference to a sexual assault, and racist stereotyping, appropriation, and representation.

Violence Director, Youth Stage Combat Workshops

Here Be Dragons Theatre, Fall 2026

I'm teaming up with North Shore-based youth theatre company Here Be Dragons this summer to offer multiple stage combat workshops! If your aspiring actor is aged 11-19 and is interested in learning about and doing theatre, this is the company for them!
